House Rules

Dear guests, to ensure safety and comfort of the houseguests during their stay, we have clarified some guidelines.

Guests are given the keys upon arrival and are kindly asked to lock the rooms.  Guests are required to handover their keys upon departure.  If guests lose or do not return the key they are obligated to pay the penalty of €20 for replacement.

Rooms can only be used by guests who are duly registered on the website.

From 21:00 to 7:00 hours is the time of night peace.  We invite every guest to be careful during this period and not cause noise that can disturb other guests.

Disturbing other guests is not allowed.  Ranc de Banes keeps the right to refuse further hospitality to the guest who disturbs other guests or in any other way disrespects House Rules.

We assume that the guests are familiarized and fully understand the House Rules and Safety Rules at the beginning of their stay at Ranc de Banes.

Guesthouse is entirely non-smoking.

Wi-Fi internet is free and available in entire guesthouse.  Password is provided on the website.

Linen is changed every third day.  Towels are changed regularly (not daily).

Guests must have appropriate clothes and footwear when they are moving through the public spaces of the guesthouse.

It is not allowed to take explosives, weapons, inflammable materials or other dangerous chemicals into the guesthouse.

For your convenience guesthouse has arranged the parking in front of the guesthouse. Ranc de Banes takes no responsibility for any damage or loss of your vehicle in the parking.

Airport transfers are available, for this please use our website.

For any damage caused by the guest to the Ranc de Banes property, the guest is due to cover the cost of damage to the guesthouse.

In case of fire alarm, please follow instructions from the evacuation plan attached on the inside of your main room door.

It is not allowed to take out from the guesthouse the room inventory (pillows, blankets, towels).

If you have any suggestions on guesthouse service or if you have any technical problem in your room please feel free to inform us at your earliest convenience.

Some rooms have small fridges to use as a minibar and you may purchase items locally for your own use.

This is our home so please treat it with the same repsect as you would yours.

Please treat our staff with respect, like you would your own family.

We hope your stay is a memorable one!

Swimming Pool -

Rules and Regulations

The Pool area is open daily from 08h00 to 21h00.  No staff are on duty and use of the pool is at your own risk.

Proper swimming costume is a must for using the swimming pool facilities.

Do not apply any lotion/cream on the body before entering the pool.

Taking shower before entering the pool is mandatory, and it is also advisable to take a shower after leaving the pool because of chemicals.

Children below 14 years of age must be accompanied by an adult in swimwear.

Children swimming with inflated teaching aids need strict supervision by the parents. Use of an infant life vest is encouraged.

No glassware is permitted in the pool area.

Use the pool ladder to enter and exit the swimming pool to avoid any injury.

Diving is Strictly prohibited as it can lead to injury.

Pool is only for swimming, any other fun play in the pool should be avoided.

Any person suffering from a known serious medical condition (e.g. heart disease, severe circulation problems, epilepsy or respiratory problems) should not use the Swimming Pool.

Person under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted in the pool complex or in the surrounding area.

Spitting, spouting of water, blowing nose in the pool is prohibited.

Throwing litter in pool premises is strictly prohibited as it may choke pipe/lines/drainage system of swimming pool.

Do not wear chains, rings or other similar things while swimming.

Kindly keep all valuables in the lockers provided, Ranc de Banes cannot be held liable for loss of any valuables or other personal property left at the swimming pool premises.

Do not swim alone, when you are hungry, exhaustive, overheated and for at least an hour after a meal.

Follow the instructions of the staff on duty at all time for your safety.

Gum chewing is not permitted anywhere in the pool area for health and safety reasons.

Ranc de Banes is not responsible for any loss or damage to any personal property, injury, disability or fatality even death arising from whatsoever reasons while exercising or playing in the swimming area.

Guests swim at their own risk and Ranc de Banes will not be responsible for any injuries while using the guesthouse facilities.

Sound of the alarm

The sound of the alarm will be (cross through as appropriate):

Raising the alarm

In the event of a fire beginning:

 

If the fire is discovered by a staff member or a visitor notifies a staff member of a fire, the alarm will be raised by: activation of the nearest call point or commencing manual warning (whistle, shout etc) 

If fire is detected by automatic detectors, this will trigger the fire alarm

Action staff should take on hearing the alarm

The following actions will be taken upon the fire alarm being sounded/raised: (modify/delete as applicable to your site)

  • Will take charge and lead in the fire evacuation
  • Dial 112 and request attendance by the Fire Service.  Staff member gives their name, name of building, building address (as detailed above), contact number and details of fire (Note – you may already have a direct link to the Fire Service but details of how/when this would activate should be determined)
  • Staff will commence evacuation of the building – ensuring this is done in a calm and orderly manner, providing assistance to those needing additional help in evacuating
  • Staff to sweep building to ensure all areas are clear (including back areas) if safe to do so and ensure all doors are closed on the way out
  • If safe to do, electrical mains and gas supplies should be switched off before leaving the building. The location of these are detailed below
  • To ensure nobody re-enters the building until confirmed safe to do so by the Fire Service
  • Meet at assembly point and check all contractors and staff members are accounted for
  • To liaise with Fire Service upon their arrival

Fighting fires – Extinguisher use

Fire extinguishers will only be used where:

  • Staff have received training and feel confident in their use
  • Where it is deemed safe to do so i.e. there is a clear means of escape, fire is small

Personal safety always takes priority and, if in any doubt, staff should not attempt to extinguish a fire

RANC DE BANES LIABILITY LIMIT SET FORTH ABOVE SHALL NOT APPLY TO WILFUL MISCONDUCT.
